Tyler, why can't you have some short steering arms made for first gen F bodies like you do for the A and G bodies? I don't like the turning radius of my Camaro since I upgraded the suspension. I love everything else though.:bananna2:

I could have some made, but they won't be any cheaper or better than a factory one. They might be lighter though.

Let's see who wants a set.

Post up if you want replacement billet aluminum steering arms.

To review, which setup (power, quick ratio manual, standard manual)has the shortest arms?

If they are billet copies of the OEM arm you could sell quite a few. I am out off from an AFX upgrade with wider wheels due to my long arms. If I could easily locate a pair for a known price it would be a lot better than fishing through ePAY for the occasional pair. It also means people with factory spindles could use them too!

Couldn't they also correct bumpsteer? If so I'd migrate from my OE short arms.

The AFX spindles reposition the arms to do that. It would be counterproductive to create a part noncompatible with your own product.

Yeah, I think I'd buy a set. Would be nice to get rid of the factory "long" ones I re-used.

The reduction would be miniscule. I can see wheel clearence would the greatest benefit.

I'd probably be interested, especially if they kind of matched the AFX Spindles.

I always wondered why nobody made reproductions of the short steering arms. It just makes sense for ATS to do it since they have the spindles already.

If it made for quicker steering or a little more wheel clearance for the tie rods, I'd buy a set.

Quicker steering, yes. Especially when used with a longer pitman arm and fast ratio box.

It would be a different path for some. I love the AFX spindle but don't want to buy new wheels, brakes and tires.

I would buy a set. I have afx spindles with long factory steering arms.

Uhm... yeah.

Where have I heard and how many times have I heard... this conversation before... ??

The wheel clearence is the biggest gain... and worth it for us maximum fitment kinda cats.

Assuming they would also work for '68 to '74 Novas, I would definitely look into buying a pair.

If the stock arms work fine with the AFX spindle, then I'd think it would be safe to assume that any steering arm for that spindle would work with a stock spindle.
