Global West Category 5 rear leaf springs with spherical bearings are they worth it?

What do you guys think of the Category 5 rear leaf springs for my 80 camaro? are they as good as they say? does it improve ride handling etc

My opinion is, this is a higher rate spring for a high horsepower (450 plus) serious car that will be open tracked and autocrossed a lot. Since it's around 75 lbs/inch stiffer than most other leaf springs, it's going to ride rougher over the harsh bumps like tar strips and pot holes. Tire type is going to make a big difference in ride.

It does improve handling in the way of more rear stability and control but it's not a drastic improvement.

I thought thier rate was a little high for street use. I plan to have over 400hp but want to enjoy the car for daily use.

When speaking to Global West the sales man swore buy the spherical bearings set up and if i did not go with thier spring that i should atleast upgrade my old springs with the bearing set up to have what he said a full floating rear (LOL). (I know sales man want to sell but, i have seen the spherical bearing to help with binding issues for lifted jeeps) but i am kinda up in the air about spending $400 on that set up wit no real gain.

Just trying to have the best of both worlds ride quailty with out knocking the fillings out of my mouth.
