This is how we spend Labor Day weekend, Doing labor just for you Will. This thing is going to be awesome. The Champagne Hockey Stick on the black is looking very nice. Wait till we get the Champagne wheels, tan top, Tan and black interior. It is going to flow really nice. I am excited about this one.

I added a couple bigger pics.

Frank... Help an amatuer out here..
Im lost as a goose..
So we shot the fender with the base coat of champagne
then taped it off to shoot the black??
Is that hockey stripe done all free hand or is it a stencil kit?
Need tips please as I dont know what the hell im doing..but I am trying...

A stencil was used to get the door stripe right which is almost impossible to do in tape because of the tip of the door strip. Then we free handed the fender. But you could use a stencil on the fender. Main problem with a stencil is it is made in 2 pieces on the fender and there is alway a feather (paint blow out) at the seam of the 2 pieces. We made the LS6 stencil on the computer and iserted it in the hockey stick, then it was sprayed with the Magic Black pearl we sprayed the car with

So our process on this car was.

(1) Tape the car with the doors swinging so they are painted in and out and fenders and other panels loose so all edges are wet.

(2) You could skip this step, just something we do to get dark cars extra straight. Paint the entire car in single stage black urethane. Gives us a chance on a dark car to get a real good look at the bodywork.

(3) Block sand with 400 wet, address any trouble areas if any.

(4) Temporay assemble the fenders to the car for stripe alignment.

(5) Spray Champagne where stripe will be and intercoat clear fender and door to lock down all "fuzzy edges" from champagne color

(6) Lay out stripe

(7) Remove front fenders for a clean cleared edge on all panels and avoid the dreaded overspray in the hinge pillar

(8) Untape stripe, and clear entire car and parts

Now it makes complete sense. Thats what I thought was going on by looking at the pics just wanted to make 100% sure!
I like it, and I might give it a try!
Thanks so much! :wrc:

Car and color choices look great! I just couldn't pull the trigger on SS stripes - yours make me regret not going with them
