I guess now the deciding factor in whether I go with SC&C or DSE will be cost but I'm sure the DSE kit will be more expensive.It's a great looking set-up though.The rear kit looks interesting also.Maybe they'll need a test car to put on display at the Goodguy's Southeastern Nationals in Charlotte Hint, Hint.I'm sure they already have a great looking A-body in the works.

I've talked with Mark over at DSE a couple times about A-body parts and He said there are hitting the market pretty good this Sept. He also sent me there new 6.0 catolog that has whats going to be coming out...it dosent have prises in it though you have to call for that info!

I'm pretty sure that stuff was on display at the Kansas City Good-Guys show this weekend. I remember thinking how cool that sway bar was.

Look closely at the recent video that DSE posted on their website showing their Gen II Camaro Test Car running the slalom and you can see a few glimpses of their '65 Chevelle in one of them. They've had that car for years, well before they moved to NC. As I recall it's an untouched survivor from Texas that it looks like they finally got around to. When I last saw it it had the factory poverty caps on it, the glimpses show new rolling stock & stance so you can bet the new suspension goodies are now on it. I'm sure it won't be long before it starts showing up in their show booth.

O...and one thing Mark told me thats not in the catolog is there going to offer a bolt in rear coilover suspension kit.

They are going to start selling the A-body suspension Tuesday. It was on display at Goodguys in KC. They have new upper and lower control arms, 3-piece sway bar, coil over kit, new spindles, and rear suspension link kit. The new spindles are a DSE designed spindle and they are having them forged. The rear suspension links have the swivel link design like the Quadralink set-up. They bolt into the factory location. They also have some extra braces for the rear sus
spension frame mounts.

I don't know a price either. It will probably be along the same line as the Camaro parts.

A-Body Front Suspension Kit
DSE’s A-Body front suspension kit is a bolt on package that corrects all of the shortcomings of the stock A-Body spindle. This package provides additional positive caster and an improved camber curve. Steering geometry is also improved by our unique spindle design. It is not compromised by using an off the shelf spindle from another application. The spindle allows you to use your existing disc brake package. The tubular lower control arm will work with a conventional coil spring or our coilover spring conversion...

I just did a 70 Chevelle using another companies stuff and it worked very well. I just looked at DSE pricing and find it attractive for all you get. I am impressed! but then again, these guys always impress me anyway!

Not sure, but you could put a splined sway bar together yourself for less then $300.

I read on the Team Chevelle forum that there are no bar ends available to work on an early A body until I saw the DSE products. Where would you source the parts for the $300 version and are there bar ends available that would work on the Chevelle?

You'd have to bend or have the bars bent.

A good question is whether I can run ATS spindles for the C6 brakes instead of DSE spindles.

the dse spindles look and awful lot like fatman/heidts spindles, I wonder if the steering arm can be raised to correct the bumpsteer issues, it is my understanding that the fatman spindle keeps the steering arm in the same location in relation to the lbj, if im not wrong to fix this the steering arm would need to be in the same location as stock in relation to the spindle.

That doesn't appear to be a Fatman spindle, it looks to be DSE's own design upon closer inspection. I bet there are quite a few A body guys who wish they cold get some of the items individually. More choices for everyone!

Those look very nice. The only problem with them is that I'd have to hang them on the wall - they look to good to put under a car!

I agree with Tyler, they`re not Fatman spindles. I extrapolated some measurments from the pic and they`re different. The FatMan spindles (unless they changed somethign very recently) have the steering arm mounting holes lowered vs. stock A body. That corrects some of the bumpsteer on Camaros but makes it worse on A bodys. The DSE spindle`s looks like it`s raised vs. stock.

Those new Hotchkis arms do look sweet! I wonder though A) how much they actually weigh vs. stock and B) what they actually do to make the car perform any better? The adj. ride height is nice but we`ve had than on our SPC tubular LCAs for quite a while now at way less than half the price. Mark SC&C
