I am having a ton a trouble with the turn signal switch in my stock column, what do you guys think of the Ididit retrofit column?
Any problems? Something you guys that are using it don't llike about it?
I am headed to the Goodguys Show in K.C. this weekend, I hoping a vendor has one I can look at, and check out first hand.
I got a quote from GP Superstore, they are the best price I found, but wanted to ask around before I made the call to Frank.
Oh yeah, anybody know who makes the switch in there columns? The lady at Ididit was helpful, but not that helpful.

That switch in the ididit column is the same as GM used in all their 69-76 passenger car columns. :secret:

hey guys I picked up an ididit column for my 67 Camaro and I also changed the steering box with a 3rd Gen one. I bought Lee's rag joint for when I was going to use my original column. Will this rag joint work with this column and also what hardware do I need to install it in my car?? Thanks in advance~

the 3rd gen gearbox should be a 3/4-30 tooth spline, the column you purchased has a 1-48 tooth spline. If this is what the rag joint is... then yes. Im not sure what Lee's sells. The column should have come with the wiring adaptor and it is designed to work with the OEM mounts... you should have everything you need.

We have a chrome tilt Ididit with ignition in our 1969 Firebird. This is a great product. Let me also say the their product support is phenomenal. We had some issues getting the horn to work and the Ididit people were very patient and helped us solve it.

How did you get by with out having to use thier steering wheel adaptor?
Is it because of the steering wheel you are using?

The Grant classic wheel works fine. I wrapped our wheel in a leather wheelskin to give it a nice feel and a more custom appearance.

does the grant mount bolt to the Ididit column the same way it did to the stock column?
Trying to figure out why I need to spend anothe $60- $80 on a adaptor.

I'm not sure what how many splines the rag joint from Lee's has. Anyone know? :dunno: So then are you saying that the the original mount I would use for the OEM column is what I need to mount the ididit column in the car?

Texas.. yes the oem mounts will work with this column. we provided the threaded holes and the lower tube is the same size as the original.

Magntik, the Grant adaptor for a 1969 or newer will go right on the ididit column... Grant part # 3196 and so will any oem automotive wheel 1969 or newer pre airbag. Some of the early wheels of the 60's can be made to work with a trim ring we make..
