Getting ready to do the subframe in chassis black, but it occured to me that the chassis and core support / firewall / inner fenders will all be visible at the same time.

Pondering chassis black vs an "underhood black". How much more glossy is the chassis black vs the underhood?

I just used eastwoods ceramic chassis black on our subframe. I think its pretty glossy, and is supposed to be the same gloss as the non ceramic chassis black (gloss).

The pix below are after rinsing the frame off (pollen is a pia). The ceramic stuff is pretty tough/solid, but I do not like how it sprayed out. However it could of been the gun settings, but never had anything come out of that gun like this did.

Yeesh, that's pretty glossy. There is supposed to be a "satin" chassis black in addition to an "85%" gloss version. Do you recall which one that is?

do chassis in chassis black, do inner fenders core support/firewall in a satin black
i like 80% satin, or i usually use regular black base coat and standox satin clear which is pre mixed and the perfect satin, they also have a flat clear that is killer
