Bushing Grease?

My Polly bushings came with these little tubes of grease. What kind of grease is that? Can this be purchase at the local auto store?

Don't use the white sticky crap. Use synthetic grease instead, add or buy bushing with greasable fitting is a must. My Firebird's bushings in the control arms squeak like mad, I hate that, and I used the white crap. Don't use regular grease as it may eat the urethane.

I also have squeaky bushings on my control arms- I too used the sticky white crap. 2nd on the grease fittings. Mine don't have them and the squeaks started- and stayed- after 1000 miles. I'll pull them apart soon and put in Del- a- lums. Also, my lowers (I think) seem to bind, and I torqued everything to spec and loaded that white crap everywhere they said. Learn from my mistake and upgrade your bushings from the non greasable urethane.

Use the 'red stuff'. Syn chassis and bearing grease, high heat.

The stuff that came with my bushing when I bought them was like Vasoline jelly except stickier. More comparable to dialectric grease.

since I could not find any of this in the store I opted for lithium grease. I took the metal sleave out of the pushing and got the grease in all the grooves. The car has never hit the road yet but I'm hoping it will soon. If or when it does start squeeking I may either go back to rubber bushing or Del-a-lums. This car is more for fast street fun then road coursing.

When I worked for local tire dealer we had Mighty brand brake lube that was useable for dielectric grease and brake grease,,,and I used it for many poly bushing installs and they still dont squeak from old customers accounts.

I've used Amsoil synthetic grease on all poly bushings including body mounts as well as in my Del-A-Lums and have had no squeeks in any of the cars.
