We have been working on and beating on this car for 2 years now . We are close to having it where we want it.
I did not start out with a budget - I just wanted to take what I was blessed with and create what I felt was going to be the best pro touring 67/68 fastback ever done. The cost would be what it would be.
Some stats on the car -
1000 bhp on 93 octane
Shelby Aluminum FE block 427 / 482 final balanced / blueprinted
procharger F1-R that supports 1300 - we have a larger pulley so we are not running it at full hp
Procharger Intercooler
Internals build to support 1700 hp - I wanted to overbuild it so it would not break ( or at least not break under normal circumstances from underbuilding it and over running it)
comp cams - hydraulic cam - very agressive but still streetable and no ongoing adjustments needed
FAST fuel injection XFI - 150 b injectors
Hogan sheet metal intake for FE engine and blower / EFI
JE blower pistons and Hellfire rings 8.0/1
Oliver billet rods
scat billet aluminum crank
Edelbrock stage 3 ported heads
HiTech pushrods
isky springs / titanium retainers
cometic head gaskets
super damper
crane lifters
MSD ignition
Aeromotive custom designed dual fuel pump delivery system staged on boost pressure
15 gallon fuel safe racing cell (will go to 20 in the future - this car is very thirsty)
TKO600 - 5 speed with Ram twin disc and aluminum flywheel
Chasiworks rear coil over suspension
steel drive shaft - custom made for this hp level
martz front end with coil overs and no shock towers to fit more engine goodies in
currie 39 spline forged rear end and axles
detroit locker
9 inch housing
wilwood slotted drilled 4 wheel discs
custom designed hand made fiberglass interior and dash
10 point 4130 chr/mo roll cage - car is very stiff - with underbody sub frame connectors / removeable door bars / rear x
stainless dual 3 inch exhaust - side pipes
sparco fighter seats recovered in leather with suede inserts in the sweat zones
5 point wraparound racing harness with quick release
autometer guages
machine turned aluminum dash and console trim
active upper and lower side scoops
ram air intakes on hood
custom dual split plenum air filters for 2000 cfm air delivery
bf goodrich 315 drag radials (so far it will light them in every gear)
Its a real body with a real VIN
You might have seen it at this years Year One or Mustang week show.
The car is a joy to drive and a real attention getter - the only problem is with people following me home to get a picture of it. So I decided to keep it inside of one of my buildings where I have armed guards onsite after hearing about the theft at year one show this year.
We are beating on it currently and taking it to shows to get geedback - dont expect to win anything because its a driver - and I am not into the whole detailing scene - its a race car so its not going to be perfect if you know what I mean.
Feedback is always appreciated - I will be buliding these in the new year when I am satisfied we have broken everything that was going to break / redesigned it and its perfect.
I want the car to be perfect so that I dont get my name associated with junk. This is not my primary source of income so I really dont care if I ever make a dime on it - I just want it to be the best for a select group of owners.
Thanks for looking!
