Jon, thanks for helping me out on such a short notice w/a quick resolution. Great product and excellent service. Jason, thanks for the connection. I'll show a few pics in the near future. I'm giving the 66 a three week makeover for my kid and after removing the primer, I found out the car is a messsssss. Oh well, I'm just going to make the best of what's there and make it an enjoyable driver. He's a poor college kid and almost sold it but couldn't bring himself to do it. I'm sure he'll enjoy the subtle changes. Shhhhhh. The bottom left Prelude is what he sold to eventually buy the Chevelle, oh, and the Chevy van holds the bike in the back when traveling.:twothumbs
Thanks again Jon.

Been a little busy. Chevelle's taking alittle longer than expected. Should be painting it next week, Mercedes Iridium Silver w/Iridium gray insert on hood. Also Rushforth Concept Wheels sold to me by Driverz Inc. 18x8 and 20x10. My 74 year old father inlaw (retired upholster) joined in on the fun and reupholstered a set of buckets and back seat for the car( he refurbished the frames, hand tied all the springs and rebuilt all the foam and tie downs by hand) I repainted the seat back and bottoms Iridium silver to match the outside, turned out pretty nice. I need to find a way to lower the car cheaply for now( stance is everything you know). The car belongs to my son, he's up at college and decided to leave the car in my garage for awhile, he doesn't know. Hope he likes.:secret:
don't know what happened to the pictures, will try to post them again when I get home tonight.

Lenie, Those are Rushforth Concept Wheels sold to you by Driverz Inc., not Driverz Inc wheels. Just pointing that out because we're doing our best to build brand identity and want folks to know!

Thanks Lenie!

Wow that looks good! Since this is turning into a Driverz inc appreciation thread I'm going to put my two cents in: I ordered a set of Foose's NItrous II for my Chevelle from John a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to get them and mount em!!! They're good guys out there at Driverz inc.

Getting there. Tomorrow I'll install sound deadener and monday I'll take it to my son's grandpa and he'll install the headliner and carpet, then I'll bring it home and finish it. Still looking for the quarter window upper trim that houses the felt. They don't make after market replacements for a 300 and the old ones are goners. If anyone has or knows where I can pick up a set, please let me know. I think it's turning out pretty good for a lower budget home job form start to finish. Took my mind off of mine sitting over in paint prison for the last 1 1/2 years. I've already paid for all the work that's suppose to be done, but I think once I'm done here, I'm going to go get it and bring it home and finish it myself. Had enough.

Jason, nothing but compliments from people on the wheels. Again, John, thanks for the quick help. Pretty much done on the outside, give or take a few things here and there.
My son came home for the weekend and took a few pics, so here's a quick couple I thought I'd share with you

Oof!! That looks incredible and the shots are great! I'm obviously partial to the wheels but like Tunaboat said, you nailed the stance! I can't believe you sent the Firebird out when you're capable of work like this! We are going to need high res jpegs of all these shots PLEASE for the website. I suspect a spike in sales of that wheel design.

I thought I recognized the lagoon when I was scrolling down and then went down to the drive-by shot and saw that I was right. Spent many New Year's Days there watching fools jump off the bridge.

We're stoked to have the wheels on a nice NW car like that. I hope to see you around here in it before winter sets in.

Good on ya, Lenie!

What was your son's reaction Lenie?

Lenie
10-27-2008, 10:04 AM
Hi Skip, Saturday was the first time he got to see it in person and it was a good moment for all. He loved it, he no longer wants to use it as his daily driver and just wants to drive it during the spring and summer here in Washington. We spent two days with it driving and taking pictures. He had a hard time going back to school Sunday and leaving it here but he has no garage, so he's going to work on that. It was one of those times when all the long hours and hard work was worth it just to sit and watch him around it. Something he wouldn't have been able to afford for awhile. He graduates in June as a manufacturing engineer and then things will pick up for him.

Thanks again
Lenie

Real nice job on the car. Your son is lucky to have a dad and grandfather that enjoy the same pasion for cars as he does. And Jay the wheels look great.

The person I have doing my bird has a paint booth at his house, that's his business, buuut the place where I painted the chevelle is a very good friend of mine who owns a body shop. He lets me use his shop on weekends if I need it. I used his two booths at the same time to paint it since I had the car apart and it's silver, and yes, it is pretty cool of him to let me do all of this at no charge.:woot: I've helped him advertise his business for the past 25 years or so and he gives me perks.
