A team of friends are building a '90 Chevy 1500 stepside in a Pro-Touring theme and we really want to replace the ugly truck dash with an aftermarket dash.

The truck currently houses a full array of Autometer Phantoms in the original dash cluster, but we have decided to go with something a little more "Car-Like" to complement the Racing seats and the styling of the trucks interior in general.

We have located a two piece fiberglass dash for a '93-02 Firebird from the folks at VFN Fiberglass who are a premier manufacturer of Fiberglass body components for drag cars. We are just not competely sure on the Firebird dash yet. The dash in the 88-98 Chevy trucks is 61" wide and that is the main concern. We are looking for a easy fit as far as overall width.

Any thoughts? :help:

Take a look at the 94 or 95 up dashes for those trucks. They are much more appealing.

Rich,
Are you talking about the gauge section or the entire dash. I know some companys make guage sections but I doubt you will find an entire bolt in dash for a truck that old. Is it the square body or the rounded one. I know I had a 89 Blazer and it was the older square style. I can not remember what year all that changed. If it is a round style body, in 95, they changed the dash to one that looked better. Either way if you mean the whole thing, I am not sure it is out there.
Good Luck!
Bill

By the time I finished post I see someone mentioned the 94 stlye also-sorry gauder!

We are specifically looking for a complete aftermarket dash(not cluster) that will accept the Autometers that we already have, but will have more of a car/sportscar look....:dunno:

I had the one for my 68 chevelle made by my buddy at his shop on a lazer cutter. It has several bends in it and lots of neat touches. The downside was it took like 5 or 6 times to get it right and about 6 months of waiting
