should I go with black ss stripes on a silver base or the same silver base with black hockey stick stripes

The "Hockey Stripe" and "SS" stripe are the same thing.
i would do the 'ss' stripes, assuming you mean the skunk stripes. To me they scream old Chevy musclecar. Black on Silver is classic.
