OK, here's the situation. I just unloaded my wheels and tires and will be ordering my new ones here real soon. At issue was whether to go with 9" wheels in the back or 10" (9.5" is not available). After some detailed conversation with Mr. Chryssos I've decided the 10" wheel is worth it. However, I will need to roll the wheel lip in order to pull it off. The hitch? The wheel lip roller at Eastwood is $250. The solution? Buy said wheel lip roller and then rent it out to pay off the cost and at the same time provide access to an important tool for our membership.

Here's the tool; http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=6159&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C503%2C504%2C514&KickerID=232&KICKER

Now....if I decide to go through with this, this will be a tool that will always be available to everyone here. I will put a sticky in the Wheels forum with directions on how to rent it.

So the question is...would you rent this tool for $35?

Tony, I might be interested as part of my winter mods. Is it $35 plus two-way shipping?

Rick, it would be $35 plus shipping.

What does the guy on LS1tech rent his out for? If he's cheaper than I'll lower my price and whoop his ass.

My dad would be one of the first guys on the list to rent it from you. He needs to roll his on the 69 GTO.

Tony - is your car painted already?

FWIW - I just used a hammer and dolly on my Mustang, but that was prior to paint.

I'd be interested. It's better than beating the SOB with a hammer and effing up the paint.

Sure thing - as long as we get to it before paint the hammer and dolly treatment works really well. I'll even bring my old man - he's the artist with body tools. He's been doing it for about 40 years. I'm just a novice!

If I needed it I would consider renting it.

There are actually 2 guys on ls1tech that rent them out. I believe it is $40 plus shipping. You also put a paypal deposit down for $300 and get that refunded when it is returned.

I have one that I rent locally, since I don't have much time to run around and ship/receive it each time for a measly $40. lol

I rented one from a local for $40 plus $250 deposit.
He also supplied the heat gun.
Worked out great for both of us.

I think the local mustang crowd has at least paid for
his initial costs by now.

Well....seems there are plenty out there available already.

Thanks to all who responded.
