Whats goin on guys, I'm glad i found this forum. I have been looking for a website where people build rides to the caliber you guys do. I actually am a mini-truck guy at heart, but my project I have been working on is truly pro-touring/street rod insipred (no lowrider style here).
Heres what I am building, don't laugh because its no chevelle or bel-air or anything.
1991 Mazda b2600i,
Currently done:
-Ford 9" rear end (all smoothed painted)
-Mustang II front suspension
-Pete and Jakes 4 link
-Wilwood 12.19" discs at all 4 corners
-Full Air ride suspension (travel from laying on the ground, to about 8 inches or so)
-Billet alluminum 9-way adjustable shocks at all 4 corners
-Complete custom rearframe section
-stainless steel fasteners for chassis except 4 link bolts (which are chrome)
-smoothed/painted chassis (Charcoal Grey PPG DBC Base w/ DC3000 Clear) and all suspension pieces (Vibrance Black PPG Base w/ DC3000 Clear)
-bodydroppedCab/Bed (body lays on the ground and is even with the bottom of the chassis)
- All stainless hardline and braided line for fuel and air suspension
In Process/To be completed within next 2 years:
SBC Chevy 350 with: March Pulley Ultra Drive Kit, Inglese Weber Induction Set up, smoothed and painted block. No idea for internal setup yet, shooting for 400 hp (goign to be very mild)
- Tremec T5 Trans, smoothed/painted
- All Stainless Exhaust including headers
- Wilwood Underdash pedal kit
- 18x8 Intro Retro Billet Wheels
- Building new firewall and cab floor. Firewall to be completly smooth with nothing but steering shaft protruding
- Flaming River Rack and Pinion setup (no power steering)
- new bed floor and tubs, smoothed painted
- Shaved door handles, tailights, rollpan, tailgate, and misc holes in the body
- 6" Hi-Tech 2 color LEDS flush mounted in the lower part of the rollpan
- 2 Tone Charcoal Grey/Vibrance Black using 1" pinstrip of Ferrari Red Rosa to break it up
- Sheet metal dash/center console, leather interior using alot of the Rod Doors components.
Sorry for the long list, I knwo I am not building what you guys are, but its your rides that make me want to build mine to your caliber of quality. I am trailoring the Chassis to a show this weekend, so I will takes lots of pics!
