Hey guys,

We thought a lot of you would like this. High Plains Raceway should be open by spring of '09. They broke ground yesterday. It's a 2.5 mile road course with about 70' of elevation change and it's been brought to reality by CAMA. CAMA is a collaboration of local chapters of the SCCA, PCA, MRA, RMVR, & MCCA. Go to the photo's section and watch the videos at the bottom. They have a couple of simulations that are pretty good. One of a Corvette, a BMW F1 car, and some others. How cool is it to have a brand new track opening up near home?!?:bananna2: Even though most of the people on Pro-Touring live elsewhere, it's a great day for all of us in the automotive or motorcycle realm. How many tracks have shut down over the last 30 years vs opening new ones?!

This is sweet! Hopefully by then, I'll have all the bugs worked out on my '78. Nice find.

That is awesome and perfect timing as I just finished my 69. I should have all of the bugs worked out by then.

I'm surprised the Sierra club allowed them to build it with those evil fossil fuel burning cars spewing out CO2. I love Colorado. Beautiful place to build a track! You are so lucky...

One of the sponsors, 3R automotive has a sweet setup in Englewood. I got to walk through their work area once, they build alot of gt40 kit cars and early c2s for local racers. Cool stuff.

That track looks like fun, as in nice pucker factor. I love the name " To Hell on " and " Ladder to Heaven ".

It'll be nice to have something in the "neighborhood". Probably safer than running thru the canyons. :)

Especially in your neck of the woods.... Having to pass all those hybrids, and bicycles!

See you Colorado boys there!

Had a chance to check out the site last night, and it looks like a nice track! Definitely has some nice elevation changes, and I love the names of some of the turns
