I am trying to decide which Rushforth wheel, and which color combination to put on a 67 Malibu. It is granada gold has a black vinyl top and gold interior.I am usually not a fan of black center wheels and was considering the titanium color or fully polished. The only drawback is I plan on driving the car alot and I'm afraid The wheel will start looking cloudy.I have done my fair share of wheel polishing and that is somthing I'm trying to stay away from also.I have also thought about a set of the 18" cragars also because they would be so easy to take care of.What are your opinions and suggestions and if you have any pics of gold cars with different wheels on them please post.I also need to know what back spacing and tire size to use with the 18" wheels. I am familiar with 68-72 a-body fitment but not 66-67.Sorry I'm so long winded but jus a little undecided and need opinions. Thanks, sunk69

Here are my opinions, you may agree with them.
Chevelles are big and heavy looking cars. They look "right" with a thicker wheel spoke, and fewer spokes. I prefer fat 5-spoke designs for these cars, something sturdy looking.
As for finish, I'd go with some sort of transparent black or charcoal over brushed centers. Maybe just a dark tinted clearcoat over the brushed spokes. You are right about polished wheels, they are a hassle to maintain if you enjoy driving a lot.

Hey Sunk69,
Why not post up a good side shot of the car. Maybe some of the photochoppers on board could give you some visual help...hint hint...:enguard:

Charcoal centers with a polished lip look great with a gold car.

Rushforth's brushed & smoked titanium finishes have a clear powder coat so, there shouldn't be any clouding or polishing required.
I really like the brushed center, it just looks so clean on just about any car & paint job.
If you're not a big fan of black then you shouldn't get black.

the only reason i would say black would be because of the black top. it would tie it in nice.
from the vision in my head, i would say a rushforth superspoke with a dark center.
post some pics. they will help a lot.

Well, don't worry about the fitment, we have you covered there. We take all the guess work out of the "What fits...?" questions.
As for the color combo, we can only make suggestions, but I see a fully brushed and clear coated wheel fitting you very well. The brushed and clear finish is toned down and will better match your color scheme, and cleans with ease with a micro fiber cloth, and glass cleaner. The clear coat makes it so you will never have to polish your wheels again. Brake dust, dirt, water spots come off with just the wipe of a cloth.
Here is photos of a 66' with brushed centers just for fitment reference.
Call if you have any questions, more than happy to talk with you about it more.
