A friend of mine just acquired a '68 Chev. 1/2 ton with a MPFI'd big block. From what I can see from looking at the ECU, it's a Holley Pro-Jection MPI system. Problem is, he got no software and no cable with the purchase of the truck. I have no idea how to obtain or WHAT to obtain in regard to tuning this thing. Can anyone be of any assistance? What do we need? Will a serial cable with a male and female end work?

I'm running the Commander 950 Pro system on my car, btw... different ECU->laptop cable. Would the 950 Pro software work if I had the cable?

Thanks!

You're asking some very specific questions. I would give Hoolley tech support a call.

Well, Holley was able to answer. Here's the response:

"This system is vintage 1998 or earlier. Will not work on laptop later than WIN 98.
Sales # for software is 534-117
Communication cable Sales # is 534-45

WW"

I was hoping for an offer to give me the software for the cost of the media... ;)

Maybe it's time to move up to the Commander 950 ECU.

Thanks!
