I dig it, and dig the song too.
The Volt looks good too!

I've not seen the inside of the Volt, but there is no denying that on the outside it is a fan-freakin-tastic looking car.

Not good looking "for a hybrid/electric". Good looking - period.

I'm trying my hardest to dislike the volt--

I watched the special "saving GM" on CNBC last week because I have been a GM fan since I was a kid.

They showed one of the top guys driving a "Volt" on a track. It looked like a regular sedan.

They (the announcer) said that the volt would likely not look like it's concept now, but instead more like a regular sedan that would blend in. The volt's selling point is its ability, not beauty.

While some of the styling ques would make it, it wouldn't be anythink like the volt we now know. I hope so...but for now I'll keep telling myself its not a fantastic looking ride...less dissapointments when the real thing hits in two years.

BUT THEN AGAIN, I'm thinking that I'm going to grab me a Camaro as soon as the Z28 hits the roster so to hell it with...the Volt is freakin AWESOME!:naughty:

Actually that electric car that Lutz was driving was an earlier Malibu (before today's current model) that was retrofitted with the electric hardware.

The real Volt is going to be a sight for sore eyes. The design team we have at GM now is the best we've had in the past 40 years.

Bill, if you watched that CNBC special they showed a bit of the car's front end. I have seen the car in the studio but unfortunately can't go into any further detail. Sorry.

The guy on CNBC mentioned the price being north of $35K but I don't know how accurate that is.

The latest word from General Motors is the Chevrolet Volt (http://www.chevrolet.com/electriccar/) will cost about $35,000 when it arrives in showrooms at the end of 2010, about five grand more than the company had hoped.

GM says problems designing accessories like windshield wipers and an audio system that won't drain the Volt's batteries have forced its engineers to design expensive "redundant systems" that are driving up costs.

I thought they had said on that CNBC special "Saving GM" the cost being closer to $40k +
