There is an area of the column that must be pushed through to remove the lock. Get a new lock to see the part that holds it in. Most auto parts should have a new lock, pretty cheap. I think it is just to the left of the raised screw boss. After you find the right place a screw driver or a pick gets inserted through the casting flash covering the slot, to depress the part holding it in. The lock should be in the run position, to be removed, but without keys, you'll have to break the lock apart to do it. Whatever you do don't break the column, just the old lock.

Call a lock smith have them make a key. Remove and replace the lock cylinder. It cost a little more but that way you don't trash the column.

this is the section hilrod is talking about. But just take your passenger side door lock out and have a key cut to it. Should be the same as your ignition. :fingersx:

I have a tool that slips over the end of the older lock cylinders and then you turn the nut and it pulls the old one out breaking the retaining tab off and then just slide the new oneright in. Its pretty easy to just drill the lock cylinder and turn it to the run postion to push the retainer in at the circled spot in the pics. You will have to push through the casting flashing that is covering the slot.

A Unibit or step drill bit with one flute works the best for drilling out lock cylinders. This works well for locking gas caps that the keys get lost too! Once the cylinder is out a screwwdriver will turn it.
