O.K let try to make this as short as posssible. I bought a 1970 Nova off of a friend of a friend whos dad passed away. No one in the family can find the title for the car or the keys. So we go to get the VIN# off the car and you cant read it off the dash, so we try the door witch you can read it, we take it to the BMV and they said that its not right???? so My question is were is anoter spot that i can try to get the VIN# to try and get a title for this thing??? I have got the back seat out thinking that the build sheet might be their like in my 79z but nothing. If anyone has any idea that would be great

only 2 spots on my nova is on the door and on the dash for vin....if you cant get it , buy a bazsket case with a title....and well you know....

haha ya i could do that.. I found out that the part of the vin is under the hvac case on the firewall but i ont want to take this apart yet

You might be able to have the family go to the DMV and apply for a lost title based on the information used when it was last licensed. In MO it cost $11 and was a simple process.

I had a Vin stamped on the firewall under my A/C dog house
