I tried to paint and failed BAD!! on trying to paint my SS grille emblem red. I applied the paint, lol it came directly off. As a matter of fact it became completly crome. I used duplicolor:lmao: I know It was dumb I should've got suggestions before I did it lol. So now Im going to a local powder coating shop to get mines done? Does any have pics of a custom painted emblem to match the color scheme of their rides? The powder will last right?

Thanks

I had the chrome Toyota emblem and grill surround painted to match the car color. Scuff with 220 till copper begins to show. Apply epoxy primer, apply tinted sealer for correct value shade, apply base and then clear. My buddy did this for me. I have put 20,000 miles on the car and only have a few places where bugs and rocks have chipped the paint enough that the chrome is showing through. This is on my daily driver by the way.
