Hello, my name is Gary and I recently joined the site. I'm working on a '79 Trans-Am that's been in the family since 1981, my wife actually bought it before we met!! It was originally a 400 - 4spd that I've bored & stroked to 462 C.I. and then I installed a Viper spec T-56 from D&D Performance. I've installed Global West upper and lower control arms as well as QA1 coil-overs up front. Out back it's still the stock leaves but I have G-W leaves to install some day soon. I also installed G-W solid body mounts and weld-in sub-frame connectors.
Another big project for me was the refurb of the stock 15X8 Snowflake wheels. I stripped, polished, masked (yes that was a lot of beers) and repainted them in the gold color. I think they came out great.
I know everyone likes to see pictures, but we recently had a major PC crash and I lost all the pictures we had, I'm trying right now to recover them!!
Anyway, glad to be aboard, this seems to be great site - lots to be learned here & I hope I can contribute too!!

OK, I recovered a few of our pictures! I'll try my luck at posting them, but I really have to admit that I'm probably better at working on cars than I am using computers!!
First is a wheel before the stripping began:

Next is during shot, both are stripped - one is polished:

Next is the masking that was involved:

Here's the finished product:

And finally, a few shots of the car wearing it's new shoes, this was before the front suspension work:
