Thanks for the tics buddy! You da man! We really appreciated you're generosity. Wish I had pics to post.:crying:
I stopped and looked at that orange 69 with the crinkle stripes and you're right, they looked incredible.
On the other hand, the red 69 they unveiled today didn't look that well up close. Beautiful paint, but poor panel alignment and I've yet to figure out why the rear wheels are tucked so far in.:screwy: Looks like they could fit a much wider setup on the back of that thing.
Thanks again!:thankyou::cheers:

np was great meeting you today..always happy to help fellow pters out..oh i agree with the camaro they unvieled ..i think i looked and the rears were like 275's and its minitubbed??>..and was missing front calipers ..heard him say something went wrong with getting them on in time..but they did build whole car in 118 days too...i was so in love with the orange crinkle 69 ..had a ls2 and sounded mean when he left..

That's the American Heros charity Camaro. They built it in a crazy short amount of time. In fact the wheels were next day air shipped on Thursday. It was a rush to make this event.
The car went right back to the shop where they will continue working on body panel alignment and a host of little items.
I wrote the story on the LS7 engine build.
Don't know on the wheels.. messed up on the backspace calculations? I'm sure they will fix it though.

oh im sure itll get fixed..rt66 motorsports builds some awesome stuff..it was cool at unvieling as they had some vets out on the track and they talked about where the money from the car went..very cool thing that the are doing with it..and after they fix a few things itll be killer ..ls7 dse front and rear frames..and on and on..was awful quiet car though not sure what mufflers were on it..

I called and check on the wheel deal for the PAH Camaro.
I guess the real wheels didn't show up until today so those were just the closest things they could find off another car.
The new wheels have black centers and I'm told look MUCH better. (and fit much better)
Darrin,
The LS7 in the car is pretty mild and "only" put out around 570 hp on the dyno.

Thanks for the info on the wheels Steve, I didn't think they'd leave it like that as the other 69 they had there was drop dead gorgeous and done right.
I'm glad they got to debut it at home, it was a pretty cool deal when they did it.
The flag that is painted in the stripe is incredible looking!!
Hey Darrin ...
Sorry i missed you , we were there all weekend and you were all around us taking pics...
Never saw you...
Had a couple there and BS'd with Rich all weekend ( PHASST )

What's the story on the '68 "Trans Am" camaro.
Real deal or clone?
Whatever it is, I love it.
