I am trying to figure out a brake upgrade and could use some help. Im building a 1987 Regal and Im using Hotchkis tubular upper a arms. Now, I see alot on using f-body spindles for a 12" upgrade, and Ive seen b-body upgrade for 12" brakes....and new to me is home.earthlink.net/~kiszka/C5_brake_upgrade.htm......13" brakes

What is the best route to go? I want the largest brakes because I plan on running a small block twin turbo.

Also any help on a rear disc conversion would be nice.

The C5 front should work with your B spindles, try Joes brackets.
The rears, im not positive on that. Its been awhile since I worked on one.Somethings you will need to know about your rear end. Do you know if you rear uses c clips or a press on bearing and plate design. Also what bolt pattern does it use? I'd do home work on that and see if you can use a 93-97 Camaro style disc brakes.

While this if for a 3rd gen Camaro this is what I'm going to be doing to my 82 El Camino.

Something I saved on my site before fbody.com stopped hosting it.

the only problems with adapting that writeup to a g-body is the shock interference problem and the fact that the e-brake cable and brake line bracket will not work on the g-body lower control arm mount....I chopped the brake line tab off of it and welded it to the housing and have yet to have the time to figure out what to do with the e-brake......Lokar makes a universal set of brake cables that they said would work but I have no first hand experience yet! lol

I have the LS1 rear disks on my 8.5"......I used them because I had them and I'm cheap lol
