Hi there!

I'm planning a trip in the west this september, and I would love to attend a good Car show while I'm there (a car show including modified cars, hot-rods etc. and if possible some drag racing).

Do you know where I can find an event schedule on the net?

I should be in California, Nevada, Arizona in the first three weeks of september and I can still modify my trip to attend a good show if it happens last week of August, so any advices is appreciate.

Thanks a lot!

PS: if you know anything a car buff should absolutely see in the area, let me know!

Try this: http://www.socalcarculture.com/

Or this: http://www.driveonline.com/

The two biggest "must see" shows in SoCal, both in September, are the Great Labor Day Cruise (a two day event on labor day weekend) and Cruising For A Cure that usually falls around the end of September.

There's also the John Force cruise night (last saturday of the month). It's at his race station.

Be sure to check out the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

That should get you started :)

Thanks.

Cruises seems very popular here (is the Stater Bros Route66 Rendez-vous a good one?), but do you know a show that include some Drag Racing?

A show&shine +a drag race (same day same location) would be perfect for me.

Not really. We have very few drag strips in SoCal. Pomona is under the control of the noise police.

Fontana has a show/drag but it's only at the Super Chevy show and that's in late March.

Every thursday night Irwindale raceway (drag strip 1/8) has drags and plenty of real nice looking show/drag cars of all type. 5pm on. Crowded after 7 pm.
