I know a dude that works for Tesla and has one. Neat car. No realistic range. But they have tackled 1/2 the equation.

Make it as functional as a normal car + make it cool = sales.

Looks like it happened right in front of St. Mary's up there. Those are really cool cars. Sucks to be the first customer to be in an accident in one, but it has to be someone.

The braking is less than stellar since it's carrying much more weight than a normal Elise. Strangely though, the handling is superb. Not as good as an Elise of course, but still very good despite the weight. They put a lot of thought into upgrading the suspension to deal with the weight.....but not so much on the brakes.

I saw one running around sacramento. It did have astonishing acceleration. Faster than I thought it'd be.

At least the accident didn't let the Magic Smoke out of the electrical bits. It's quite difficult to put back in.

Unilke most cars that go to a body shop to get repaired, I wonder if the insurance company will believe the owner that it has to go back all the way to the factory to get repaired correctly:injured:
