Hey, hows it goin. i know everyone is gettin sick of wheel questions but ive got one more for ya. I'm tryin to buy these wheels and tires, they are 16X8 with 265 in the front, and 295's in the back, BFgoodrich T/A's. as far as back spacing goes, the guy said quote

"I was told when I purchased these wheels that they had the same backspacing as stock for max. clearance. On the box it says offset +14mm.I hope this helps"

does this make since to anyone? he said he trimmed his lip about 1/2 inch to fit. i'm gettin these becuase its a killer deal. any help would be appreciated. oh yea its goin on a 1972 chevelle. thanks agian.

Check out this nice chart at

http://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Scroll down a little and there's a table the shows an 8 inch wide wheel with a +14 offset would be a little over 5 inch back spacing.

So, if you can trust what he says about the +14, you'll have a pretty good idea of the measurement. But, nothing beats measuring them yourself in person. Is that not possible? Or can't the guy take a straight edge and a tape measure and check the back spacing for you? How to measure is at the link I gave you as well.

That wheel & tire combo should fit your 72 Chevelle. However,I would check the fronts for fit very closely.
I've never seen a 295 tire in a 16" diameter.
With the lack of availability of big 16" tires, that would have to be a smokin deal for me to buy them. Hope it doesn't come back to bite you.
