1st Gen driveline. BB vs SB

I have a 68 Camaro that was an original big block car but has had a small block in it for many years. The big block chassis motor mounts always caused problems with the right side headers hitting the upper a-arms. I have now converted the car to the small block motor mounts and now it seems like the original big block drive shaft is too long. Anybody run into this before? Neither Jeg's or Classic Industries call out a different drive for BB vs SB cars. May have been cheaper for me to have custom headers made up but too late now! Thanks in advance for your help, TZ

Different mounts did make a slight difference in fore and aft placement of the engine. www.pozziracing.com (http://www.pozziracing.com) is a good source for mount info. You can really runn into some problems using the wrong frame stand/engine mount combo.
