I have searched and know that that 17 x 9.5's with 275/40's will work on stock 67 rear with 4 3/4 or 4 7/8 bs.. But what about 17 x 10's with the same 275/40's??? Will I have to "microtub" it or is there a special backspace that will work?? The Boze wheels that I like are not available in 9.5's only 9's or 10's:crying: Any help or suggestions would be appreciated..... thanks...

I run 10's on mine with no minitub. Most run anywhere from 5.5-5.75bs to fit the wheel.

17x10 with 5.5 backspacing works just fine using a 275 tire. The tire brand and width are more critical than 0.5" of wheel width. For example, Nitto tires run a little narrower than BFG tires, due to their sidewall designs.

Several people have run 17x10s, but lately I'm seeing most guys buying 18's since tire prices have come down for that size.

We're putting a lot of 18x10's on the first gens, with 275/40/18's. Check out MuscleCarJohn's 69 we just did with our Rushforth Wheels!

I run 17x10 with 285/40-17 and had to make some clearance (rolled fenderlip and some mods to the inner fender) I believe the 69 has slightly more room. Mind you; no 2 of these cars are exactly the same, so you have to check everything before you order to be reasonably certain!
BTW; when you wanna see pics of my car, go to the PT Garage.
