I tried to post my specs and one pic and when I submitted it came up as a bunch of code and did'nt post. Is it just me or is the garage full?

Might try it again. I occasionally get the bunch-of-code bit - restarting the browser takes care of it for me.

Same thing happens for me on eBay occasionally.

I don't know what it is but I can post info but not pics. I just get a lot of code and it won't post. I dumped some pics I had posted in the past but it did'nt help, I have them resized to 1400x1050 pixels is this not small enough? I am lost any help would be appreciated. :box:

I just updated to the latest version of VbGarage. Let me know if you guys still have problems.

Just tried it again and still no luck,I just think it does'nt like me. It comes with a whole mess of code and at the very bottom it says this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 10485760 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 167872 bytes) in /home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/html/forum/vbgarage.php on line 334

I hope this helps you, it's not really that big of a deal to me, just thought you might want to know. :candle:

I am still having problems posting pics. It seems to time out and eventually I get a page not found message. Its strange because I was able to upload fine a few days ago.

Funny thing, I have noticed the qty of cars in our VbGarage is exactlly 100 cars. Can anybody try and post a new car. It's been this way for a few days and I don't know if it's due to a problem with it.

I will into your problem GregD too.

I am still having problems posting pics. It seems to time out and eventually I get a page not found message. I can upload text to my garage just not pics. Pics are 180k & 240k and neither one will upload. I have tried from 2 separate computers and have disabled my Firewalls etc. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

The post was not so much for you... as for Larry.
Trying to determine what the difference is with your setup.

I am posting using IE 6.0.2900.2180
I am behind a Cysco firewall (hardware and software)

I posted one from Home using Latest Firefox
I was behind a Linksys Firewall. Different ISP as well. No issues...

No really it was. Several people have uploaded since my issue...I don't know whats going on but it seems to me to be some sort of security/firewall/IE setting on my end... Have been working so I have not had a chance to T/S much on my end yet. Just tried turning off Zonealarm and overiding cookie handling and adjusting internet settings etc. I will have more time in a few days to check it out. any suggestions on what to tweak might help though. I have been trying to post a couple of pictures for the past two weeks to both "project updates" and the "Garage" and am having the same issue that it times out and the page is not found. I have tried it from my home pc with cable modem and just tried from my laptop in office on a T1 line, no luck. I guess I'll just keep looking at the pictures myself :pat:

I have now tried on 3 different P.C.'s changed/adj. and turned off firewalls etc...I gave up! Have emailed Pro-touring but have not received a reply but could be due to wedding etc. I'm just waiting for an answer or breaktrhough of some sort...otherwise I give up!

Hey guys,

Sorry this problem has not been resolved sooner. Post the exact process you are attempting when trying to post pics in VBgarage, and then what error messages, you are receiving, or what is happening. We should be able to get you set up and posting if we can see exactly what you're doing.

For example, the process I use to post pics is:

1). Click on User CP
2). Click on Edit Vbgarage
3). Click the browse button
4). Find the picture I'm going to post on my computer
5). Click Submit

Save this picture to your computer, and try to post it in your VBgarage. (I just posted the same pic in my Vbgarage, so the size and file type are definitely correct. We can eliminate that variable.)

OK i did what you said to do and it posted just fine. what size and format pic should we be able to upload? i see that one is a .jpg and about under 460 KB. is there any othes like .gif?

Ralph LoGrasso
06-01-2005, 04:33 PM
I'm don't believe it will accept .gifs, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I would say try to shoot for pics in the 800x640 pixel range, and .jpgs only. Those should work. Larry may know the exact limit, I'll see if I can find out.

Uploaded the pic of the radiator just fine. Wierd! I have tried making my pics smaller and of .jpg type and I get this error:

I will try making some more adjustments to my pics as the radiator pic loads fine. THX...T

I had been saving a lower resolution copy of my 1600x1200 pics from Adobe to drop the size down...I had not been adjusting the actual dimension size thus causing an issue uploading. When I went into Adobe and Adjusted the actual dimensions of the pics to approximately 750x500 they loaded great. Thanks alot Ralph...lesson learned!
