Hello. I was wondering what everyone would think of building a 1969 Camaro with a 427ci twin-turbo small block and using the old SS427 fender emblems. everyone would think that the car had a big-block, and then they would open the hood to see a small block. can you imagine what the WOW factor would be? All opinions will be taken seriously. Thanks a million.

Go for it, keep every body wondering and confused. I have a 2.5L Fuel injection emblem off an S-10 I've been thinking about putting on the side of the cowl hood of my nova just for kicks.

Joker....there's a guy here in Michigan who did it on a red '69 Chevelle that I saw at the Detroit Autorama about 2 years ago. He had the 427 emblems on the fenders and there was a small block under the hood. He said it was a motown block and the displacement was 427 cubic inches. Also...some of the Berger Camaros as well as both Woodward F-Bodies had the 427 designation on the hoods and were actually punched-out Gen III's.

I say go for it. No one that I know of has done it on a '69 Camaro yet.

Got to project updates, NuBreeds badd Ass 69. You will see a SS427 badged 69 with a 427 inch LSX monster single turbo motor. We did the same thing, make um scratch there head when they look under the hood. We will be painting the fender emblems red to match the grill and rear body emblems.
Funny enough, even though Chevy never made a SS427 Camaro, those emblems sure are popular.
BTW, I love the idea of the SBC 427. Make it all aluminum for a special touch.

Thats one reason I wanted to keep my '69 an actual SS-350. I drove it into a Corvette gathering and there was a crowd standing there. One big mouth C5 owner states "Oh, that is just an SS-350. It probably doesn't even run 12s". When I popped the hood he quickly ate his words when I challenged his Vette to a race.

HAHA

Do it!

Atta Boy Tony....I love to hear stories like that. I used to have to deal with Corvette owners on a daily basis, they are some of the most difficult people to work with, in the service industry!

So, did he take you up on your offer, I doubt it! :worship:
