I want to upgrade the headlights in my 81 and 73 camaro. I have bought some stuff from dse and there stuff is great and you pay for it. Any suggestions on who to buy the h4 7'' headlights from.

We have a kit that for the same price as DSE, you get the relay kit with it for free. Glass lenses, H4 bulbs. You do have to open the bucket hole up slightly to clear the rubber boot on the 7" setups. 5-3/4" lights are direct bolt in no mods.

I got the Painless relay kit, I think from Jegs. I got the H4 lenses from Classic Industries and the bulbs from.....I dunno, I think it was Osram? The website was something like www.rallylights.com.

Those still weren't the greatest, so I got some Acura TL projectors and oem HID's and put them in the H4 lenses. I've still got to figure out how to wire up the high beam solenoid so that the low beam still gets power, but for now it's way better than sealed beams or even H4's.

Painless, I believe, also makes a harness for GM trucks that does just that. AAW might have it too, but I haven't looked at that in a bit. I haven't needed them. You may want to look into this and figure out how to adapt it to your setup.

Does anyone have dse headlights. I like the way the bulb twists in

Im running the Delta Tech H-4 Xenon headlights, they have a nice white light, they look great but you will need some relays because they flicker when i use the high beams after a while.... so they will look even better with the relays

Lights will flicker unless you have the upgraded harness because of....

I got the Delta H4's from Classic Ind with the upgraded harness. The harness is a must and five minute install. Lights are fantastic and I didn't even put in the brighter bulbs I bought.

if you wanted to go on the cheap. check out jc whitney. they have H4 lights with interchangeable bulbs. get a volt meter and see how many volts your getting at your light socket. if your only gettting 9 or 10 volts run a bosch relay to get 12+ volts. it shouldnt cost you more than 100 bucks. one more option. I really like the piaa bulbs.
