Ok I am about to get started on mock up on my ride and am as confused as about everyone else about ride height using the stock leaf spring type set up. I am used to tearing out the floor and starting from scratch just putting everything where I want it with a 4 bar set up so this is a little new to me. The car has perfect floors and I do not want to cut them out.
That said does anybody have a Camaro with stock Multi or stock single leafs that are fairly new and accurate from reputable? company to give measurements to compare other drop springs to. The measurement I am looking for is from the 1/4 lip to the center of the wheel. Now I have a 68 and I know 69's are different so if somebody knows a more accurate measurement say from the rail to the axle housing that is fine.
I am trying to get more accurate idea of what the heck they are saying 1 1/2", 2" or 3" drop is actually from. If you call the suppliers they honestly give round about answer not actually being able to quote what stock was. I know there are differences in weights and so on but there has to be some better idea. Look at the Cars section there are cars with one Co's 1" drop that are at the same height as others 3"?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Brian
