I have used the search function but perhaps I am using the wrong key words....

I was looking for pictures of how the bottom brackets are tied to the cage. Or is safe to just use rear bracing like Autopower, Brey Krause and I/O adjustable types and use the what ever (floor) mounting brackets that are available for your seats? I plan on using a fixed 1 piece FIA type seat if that matters.

we welded 4130 plate in the proper points where the seat mounts then drilled the holes for the seat.

Jason, Thanks for the reply. That looks nice, but I don't see how it is tied to the cage. I was just looking to see how others had tied it together. We plan on building brackets from the lower bar along the doors and rear lower bar.

oh, that is more simple.

run some 1.25" DOM from side to side then some 3/16" CR for the tabs on 3/8" bolts. It will work great. Then tie the tube in with .125 plate in the center between the seats.

does that make sense?

maybe Tom understands, but I don't.

You run tube across the car, behind the seat on the main halo how high? and then you make tabs for bolts that connect what to the seat mount, how?

Thanks, I'm a bit sloww...

ok i have used my insane MS-Paint skillz to show what i was talking about.

Blue- square plates welded to center tunnel, either .095 or .125 Cold Rolled or Chromoly.

Green- 1.25" DOM or 4130 tube that is welded to the door tube and the plate in the proper spacing for the seat.

Red- the tabs for the seats. I prefer to use 3/16" cold rolled for this.

does this help?

Thanks Jason,

Thats kinda what I thought you were talikng about. Although a picture always helps. I also was looking at this which will get the back tied to, but I think it limits seat choices.
