The engine is in. It is coming back out, but I had adapter plates made by a friend with a CNC machine. He dropped them off at VCR this afternoon. Thanks Mehran. They are Sick. I will post pics tomorrow. They moved the engine 1 3/4 back to help distribute weight evenly.
I switched the oil pan to a camaro oil pan. I have to pull it off and have it modified a little. I was hoping by moving the engine 1 3/4 in bach it would clear the sway bar.. it doesnt.
Here are some pics....

when you say moving the engine 1 3/4 in back, do you mean 1 3/4 in closer to the firewall or away from the firewall?
Good luck

closer to the firewall. pushed it back for more even distribution of the weight.

After waiting for a t56 in my pricerange, I mated the lq9 with the t56 and put it in. I cut the hole in the tunnel for the shifter. I still need to aquire the trans mount. I put in a Mccleod dual clutch good for 800 hp. I should have around 500 when all is said and done.
This week: transmount, start wiring and fuel lines. Install the Magnacharger and accessories on the engine.

FYI, the drivetrain has been sponsored by craigslist...not really sponsored, but I bought them both off of craigslist. The t56 delivered for 800 bucks and the engine with all accessories (brand new accessories) for 1000. The engine supposedly has 15k miles. Checked the mains and bearings and it looks very new.

What wheels are those? Look like the weld wheels that were offered several years ago. I saw that Greg Weld was reintroducing the weld pro stars in 17's ans 20's. What size and back spacing are yours?

Hey, at least you don't have to guess on where to cut the tunnel.

Is this the $50 paint job Camaro? It looks like the color, but I don't recall those rims.

THanks, been a while coming and lots of frustration. My neighbor is a big help...we (him, me and my girl) were out there at 10pm last night trying to fire it.......
figure it is probably a month from driving depending on $ and time.

Well, after two years, I drove it! Just around the block, but I drove it!
still have a lot of wiring to do and buttoning up and cleaning up, but she runs. I am really scared to nail it as I don't want anything to break. Not used to the blower whine.....but I think I like it.
