I received my deep tubs a couple of weeks ago for my 70 nova. Have been reluctant to start project. Can someone tell me how they drilled out the spotwelds between the inner and outer tub after it goes below the floor pan, or is just a matter of cutting out the inner, drilling out the welds and then spotting what you can. Seems like the only way short of removing the quarter.

When you look at the DSE tubs you'll notice it is lacking the piece of the inner tub which i think your talking about. The DSE tub just goes strait across, and you can just tie it in to the old piece. Or if the old one is rotted away you will have to make a new piece or get a donor. I'll try to locate the pics from when i did mine.

Did the pictures I sent you not got through? Yeah, just cut across the lip and butt or over lap the new.

Are you going to replace your quarters?

I think you are right. Just took another look and it does seem they are not exact replacements. I may be wrong, I will get into it a little more tomorrow. But that just shocks me! Everthing DSE told me was to cut out the old inner! The video is not worth anything. I am very glad I did not start cuttting! Nothing of this in the instructions. I am confidant in my welding and fabricating but bodywork is far from my specialty.
Thanks for the heads up!!
Once again, anybody who has done this, any pics would be great!
Thanks again

Yes there is a lap joint required at the trunk pan. Shame on DSE for not specifieing this! I hope this post helps future Nova owners of this. Is this true of the Camaro people also. I have not seen this in any threads.
