Well its been an interesting morning, I have been working on a new project for Magnuson Products with Jerry Magnuson himself, this guy is a very hands on individual, anyway long story short he asked if I would like to drive his test truck a 2007 GMC with the 6 litre, what could I say :6gears: so as we are leaving the parking lot he tells me its ok to push it and have some fun, I have never driven a car with a supercharger before and was very impressed, power was instant and torque was emediatly felt and constant, very cool. On one side street he asked me to stop and just floor it wow was that fun, I think I left black stripes around 50 feet before I let off, I'm still grinning. I need my car done!

I've taken many potential customers for rides in our magnacharged vette and got similar responses. I think I scared off a couple of people too, LOL. They are fun because they build boost instantly which results in instant full torque.

Biggest surprise to me was the H2 I did. I never expected an H2 to get up and move so quickly even with the blower on there. I think it would be fun to lower the compression and up the boost a little more in one of those.

Have you seen the Toyota projects? The Tundra is a freaking work of art.

What project are you working on with him, or is it under-wraps? I totally understand the latter.

I have had the pleasure of being a vendor for Magnuson since they opened. Jerry, Ed, Reese, all those guys are super to deal with. Getting to drive the "shop" cars is a blast too. That's why my current project has one of theirs bolted to the top of it.

yes it was the black truck, i wii be going over to there facility soon so i can see all the cool stuff.

project is a new item so no I cant discus it, one thing fore sure is I will make this project affordable just so I can build them.

I also may be doing something for my Silverado after driving there truck.

I have not driven any newer cars with a Magnuson blower, but I do have one on the LSx that's in my 67 Camaro. I actually went with one of the newer 122 blowers which might be a tad big for a 346ci motor, but it does the job. I lowered the compression to about 9.75:1, installed ported heads and a nice cam and headers. Future plans are for a stroker LS2 for which this blower will be just fine as well.

It hits about 10 psi at peak boost, but it has about 7 psi as low as 2000-2500 rpm. The boost does seem to creep up a little as rpm climbs with this bigger blower. The blower whine is amazing, and it burns off my 335mm rear tires at close to a 60 mph roll. Lot's of fun, that's for sure!

Not soon enough! I'm in the middle of fabricating the cold air intake system. Still need to finish the electrical and interior mods as well.

Yup. Not as big, and they are wedged in kinda tight in the showroom, but very cool. The motorcycle is a neat piece of history.
