The last time i had gas in my fuel cell it was fine. (its one of those black plastic ones). I went to put gas in it last week and its leaking from one of the fittings. Ive got one hooked up and one capped off. The one capped is leaking drop by drop. The fitting wont tighten on the cell, it just spins. How do i tighten this? I tried getting my hand down there but it wont fit in the filler hole.

thanks
Jesse

I cant upload any pics right now becasue the computer i do it on is down. Its right where the plastic washer or seal meats the cell on the outside. When i try to tighten it it just spins. Im thinking maybe there is a nut im going to have to hold onto while tightening the outside but i cant get my hand in there.

You need to make sure the washer isnt split and your going to have to get your hand or a wrench in to tighten it up...

I had a fuel cell like that. I had to take the bolts out of the flange and remove the flange where the cap is screwed into. After I did that my hand would fit. Seems like I had to take some of the foam out also. Hope this helps.

Had to do the same on my RCI cell, the bulk head fitting was loose. Remove the filler cap ring and bolts and you can get your hand in the cell to tighten this fitting. And whoever helps can tighten the outside fitting nut.

Yep that worked. No more leak!
