Front end are not my area of expertise. I have searched the forums and googled the internet.
What I would like to have is a step by step comprehensive A arm upper and lower bushing % coil spring replacement on a stock sub frame.
I will be replacing the coil springs with hotchkis 2 inch dropped coils. I would like first hand do's and do not's to keep myself and others from being hurt. Im sure this has been asked, but my apologies if it has. I was going to rent me the compression tools this week, but my lack of experiance has halted me this weekend. :smoke:

Dissconect the sway bar, then jack the front end up enough to let the lower control arms swing down, yet you must leave enough clearance to get underneith the lower control arm with the jack for installation of the coil spring. Make sure you use a coil spring compressor which is just a bolt with a couple of pivoting arms threaded onto the end of it. Remove the shocks, then dissconect the spindle/knuckle from the ball joints. Next you can compress the spring enough to swing it out of the lower control arm recess. Following removal of the springs, you can unbolt the upper and lower control arms and change the bushings. You will need a press to do so, or just drop off the control arms at a local repair shop which is equiped to do so.

Sounds easy enough. The entire steering section is removed as far as all the knuckles, ect. I removed all that a few weeks back as once i get everything rebushed and the coils and sway bar back on, I plan on ordering a unisteer rack and pinion kit.
Thanks for the post.
