View Full Version : best way to polish parts with a polished finish?

anyone have any tips/tricks regarding this? my parts are dirtier than the corner porn store! i heard mother's chrome polish was good for this; just wondering if anyone else had any opinions.

Mothers works great on aluminum, but you'll have to keep at it to keep them shiny. You may want to have the parts clear powdercoated or annodized after a good polish to preserve the look.

Thanks for the link man.
It's a Retrotek throttle body actually. Didn't notice how dirty I got it. Air cleaner has a lot of hand prints all over it too. :barf:

nice link GOOD info. Would this work on a stock Horse Shoe console (metal portion) of a 70 chevelle? I just purchased that thing, and when I clean it, Im not impressed (smuggy). Sorry to steal your thunder brother but can I use mother's on my console and then get it clear powder coated? Also Where can I find the polish at?

Mothers is a "good" product but I have found wenol gives you that mirror finish. Just my .02.

will wenol work on all metals
