I thought this would be a better place to ask this question. i have a twin setup on my s10, space is pretty tight, I have my stock inner fenders, a mastercylinder with a plastic resivoir and a fiberglass hood, all the makings for a good fire. I was wondering If I could use the same heat wrap on the turbo's as I used on everything else. I think its rated at 1200 degrees. I was worried that It would hold too much heat in especially after shut down, I dont want to cook my seals.
Any one done it or have any suggestions what to use

People put heat wraps on turbos all the time, they make specific ones to fit the compressor:

My buddy has one on his 240sx, hasn't had a problem in forever.

Be aware that the header wrap is killing your pipes, unless they are stainless. A buddy wrapped his mild tubing on his Typhoon and the header basicly got to where it was paper thin in just about a year or two. I don't think it will bother the cast housing though.

I had my turbo and pipes jet-hot ceramic coated for the insulating
effect I was after. costs a little more but it has lasted for years, it looks much cleaner and there are some color options. just don't
coat any interior surfaces before the turbine in case some coating flakes off. also consider fabbing up some heat shields, similar to the grand nationals. just another choice since turbo blankets do shorten part life and therefore are usually race oriented.

The full exhauset is stainless ,I heard about wrap and rust issues.
