Love the hoods on those cars. Glad to see the rat in the hole. Nice to see something different.

No... I made it out of fiberglass. I'm still itchy!

Looking good! I have a soft spot for 442's since my dad had a viking blue/white vinyl '71 that he bought new when I was a little boy. Can't wait to see more pics as you progress along.

From the first day I saw Demolition Man I fell in love with the 442 Olds! Looks great so far. Keep the pics coming. Good choice on the Chevy 454 instead of the Olds 455.
Is the paint Red Acrylic Enamel?

Very Nice!!

Love the hood.. and the updated driving lights. Hey, have you considered running the clear updated headlights to match your driving lights? (like the ones from DSE)

Again, moving along well.

It's Dupont Premier Base/clear with a ton of clear, but before the wet sand/buff. It doesn't have nearly as much orange peel as the photo's might suggest though. I can't wait to rub it out!

Those are Hella headlights... should make night driving quite nice! The driving lights are also Hella. I think I now own stock in Hella, or at least I should!

The color is '04 GTO red. I'm a little torn on wheels and tires.... I'm thinking of the Wheel Vintique SS1 clones in 17" I'd rather SS2 style, but they don't make any.

What say you?

I'm not a huge 442 fan but your car has swayed my opinion. I would LOVE to own a car like that. I really like the driving lights as well as the spoiler. Cant wait to see the finished product as i'm sure it will be STUNNING!

BEAUTIFUL classic Olds A-Body!
Part of me wished that you dropped an Olds engine under the hood, but I understand why you would choose the Chevy, being convenient and all.
Gorgeous nonetheless!

It was even more convenient than you might think... the car came with no motor, and the LS-6 crate motor was living under a bench in my father's garage. I suck at math, but it was just too obvious an equation!

Oh, but I do have a wish list for anyone who really hates that Chevy motor in there :icon996: I'll swap ya for a 455 with a steel crank, Eldebrock heads, roller hydraulic cam, FI manifold, 10.5:1 compression pistons... Never mind, I'll just keep the Chevy.:naughty:

Shiny Side Up!
