This is a customer's car which we put some 18" Schott Americana wheels on. Good looking wheel, for the clean, conservative, elegant look.
Enjoy:

Okay,
I used a set of wheels that are here waiting to be shipped to a customer as an example. These particular Americana's have an anodized red cover-loc.
Here, I am removing the red anodized spanner nut style cover loc that holds down the cover plate that covers the lug nuts. It was only hand tight, so I did not need to use the supplied wrench:

Here the center nut is completely removed. Notice how the cover plate still is on the wheel without me having to hold it on:

Here, I am removing the cover plate that covers the supplied small diameter open end lug nuts. Schott also includes the lug tool to tighten each lug nut. AND, every wheel is built to be hub centric.

Here you can see the back side of the cover plate. Take note of the two machined dowel locations so that the cover plate lines up with the wheel positively in the same direction every time. All of these pieces are machined in house at Schott by the way.

And here is a good shot of the cover plate removed. You can see the center threaded snout that is also machined in house, and can only be bolted to the wheel one way. This insures that the logo is always indexed, and can never be put on incorrectly. All the hardware for every wheel is all included. Everything from lug tool to valve stem. The coverplates are specific to each wheel as well, so they can be matched back to each individual wheel for the best, and tightest fit.

There is a killer video up at www.schottwheels.com that shows how all of this goes together, but hopefully, this post will help you guys see how well, and precisely machined every Schott Wheel is... they really do go above and beyond.

Ah...I got it now.:usa:
I never saw the parting lines on the spokes so for the life of me,I couldn't figure out how they were doing that...but now I know, thanks for that Jon.
Obviously a very, very well made wheel...

I have seen these rims in person and I am totally amazed. The tollerances on the center-cap are tight. It is very hard to tell that there is even a cap there. Truly an awsome concept and now with the new "Modsport" wheel they just came out with I think I need to get a set for my truck.
