I have done a search, but I haven't really found what I'm looking for. I am going to mount my MSD box, MSD coil, fuel inj. computer, and TCI trans controller tomorrow. I want to mount them on the bottom flat side of the cowl inside the car (behind and above where the glovebox sits). I am not doing the vintage air kit until next summer. My question is to any guys with the vintage air kits in their 69 Camaros. Does the kit stick up into that area? If so, where do you all have your computers, ignitions, etc. mounted? Thanks to anyone with help.

After doing some reading, it looks like the interior isn't a good place for the 6AL. I guess I might mount it on the inner fender in the front right corner where it is out of site. I still need to know if the ECU, coil, and TCI trans controller will clear the Vintage Air kit.

Do not put anything on that side of the firewall. The ECM can be mounted to the bottom of the cowl plenum kind of over the driver side of the hump. The TCI contorller can fit in there also. You absolutly want to put the coil and MSD outside, under the inner fender is good for both. Just remember the coil needs to stand up vertical.

Thanks a lot Is it ok for the coil wire to be that long? It seems like quite a distance to travel.

Does the MSD Blaster II coil have to be vertical? I thought I read where it could be in any orientation? If not I need to change that...:pat:

I fitted my vintage air in a 67 camaro and you loose the glove box, tip when fitting remove passager seat as its easier to fit the unit with you lying on you back were the seat should be .

I put a VA gen2 compact in my 2nd gen. I can't say how much more room you have in a 1st gen, but there is no room for anything else in this area on my car.

Here's the vintage air in my 68.

I didn't lose the glove box, but don't know how much room you'd have for the stuff you want to mount.

Dan, thanks a ton. That picture really helps. I have already mounted the boxes, but it looks like it should be fine going off that picture.
