Does any one know if you can put a 1ST gen. camaro body onto a later camaro frame and suspension? of course without having to do to much cuttting on the frame?

i know that there's a company that sells that. i believe it's a combo of both frames but obviously it can be done. but it does require a lot of welding.

First, there isn't a real "frame" on Camaros. The rear frame rails are part of the body. Up front there is a subframe, but it only goes under half the car.
IIRC, Art Morrison has a full frame that can be installed under a Camaro.
As mentioned above, there is a company out there that installed a 1st gen body on a 4th gen chassis. IIRC they modified the floorpan of the 4th gen to make it the right length, but most of the conversion was already close.
Just remember, if you really want to do something you can probably find a way. How badly do you want to do it?

Here is the Year one 69 Camaro, http://www.yearone.com/enthusiast/articles/69camaro/69camaro.html
It used a 4 generation frame. Anyway, it has been done before. The best bet is to use a new subframe from either DSE or Art Morrisson that is basically a bolt-on. I have the DSE on my 67 Camaro and was really impressed with the design of it. Do a search on Retro Rides on this site, I think Prodigy Customs had to pull a car from it.

i think the later gen camaros are alot bigger than the first gens..
it MIGHT work.. but "without cutting".. not likely.

There is a company called Retro Rides that was doing this exact thing. They did a write up in Super Chevy a while back. A quick google should get you all the info. To be honest I didn't read much that was positive about it (but that may have been due to the workmanship that went into it)
good luck
