Well, I drove my '78 Monte around today since it was decent weather-50-ish. I set the jumper on my DC Controller to maintain 10% fan speed at start-up and it had a draw of 10.7-10.8 amps. I am using the AC lead and the under-drive jumper too. Funny thing is, the fan never ran faster than that because the whole time I drove it, the temps never got above 110! Hah! Since putting that Northern Racing radiator in, my coolant temps are in the basement! When I turned on the defroster though, the fan kicked up to about 60% speed @ 17.5-18 amps. Everything seems to be working out pretty simple. We'll see how the hot humid Iowa summers do for it-I don't feel like I'll have any problems though. Funny, after talking with Mad Electrical on the phone, he said hot humid air is better than dry warm air for heat transfer-I wasn't aware of that, makes sense though. -Jabin
