My LT1/4L60e 69' Firebird currently has factory 4wheel drum manual brakes. I just ordered a front disc brake setup for it.(disc spindles, rotors, calibers etc..) Check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AEOIBSAA%3AUS%3A11&viewitem=&item=190230909451

I have a 94' Firebird Formula parts car(where I got the LT1/4L60e from). I am planning on using the master cylinder/booster, and rear disc brakes from this car on my 69' Firebird.

I know Ill have to cut the firewall a little to mount the booster as well as use 2 RH side rear caliber brackets due to my staggered shocks. But has anyone done a conversion like this? Will it work and/or do I need anything else for the install? Ive done alot of searching on here for an answer but cant find any good info...

you do not have to cut the firewall. I modifed the booster to fit the 1st gen pedals.

Well thats good news.. I figured I had to from seeing this: https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37217&highlight=ls1+booster

Can you elaborate on that? Do you have any pics? Im sure Ill figure it out when I start installing it, but what exactly did you do? Is the booster in the way of your steering column?

no the booster fit nice with the ls1 and stock wiper. i knocked the studs out of the booster, lined the booster up and drileld the holes. I had to extend the lower part of the booster mount.
