dose any one know if these brakes will bolt on to te rear of a 10bolt or 12 bolt from the early 70s or is it even worth it?

Impala SS uses rotors with 5x5 lug pattern...

You'll need to redrill the rotor for the smaller 5x4.75 pattern and then run a thin hub-centric ring to center the rotor on the smaller axle register (2.78" dia versus 3.06" dia). Brake offset dimension on the late-model housing is about a millimeter less than the early housing, so a spacer would be a good idea.

The C5/C6 kits are quite popular with the 94-96 Impala SS crowd and you can actually squeeze a 330mm Z51 rear kit inside the OE 17" wheels...barely. You may want to check out the B/D-body fourm here for more info: http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/
