So I want to mini tub my car, going to use DSE deep tubs. If I run a G-bar rear suspension set up what all will have to be done? Just installing the suspension as you would normally and welding in the new tubs? or what else?

My understanding is you want a notched tank to be able to more easily fit exhaust past it.

Here is what I went with (doing my own mini-tub):

DSE Mini-Tubs (just the tubs)
G-Bar
Moser 12 bolt with G-Bar brackets (or you can weld on the brackets to existing rear end I had a non-posi 10 bolt I had to replace)
Ricks stainless notched tank (bottom sump with baffles)

For the Mini-Tubs you need to notch the rear frame rails and create the closeouts from the DSE patterns they provide then weld them up.

If you are going with the G-Bar you don't need to deal with the upper shock cross member that is only for leaf suspension.

Hope this helps. Also I found the Minitub video helpful as is DSE support (very much so).

K thanks pretty much answered my question. Is notching the frame rails going to add alot of shop time? All I'm having them do is the cutting and welding of new tubs and then I guess notching the frame

I can't comment on shop time, as I am a hobbyist and quite slow I think compared to those who do it for a living.

My shop took 33 hours for the tubs on my 67 camaro, and about a day and a half for the g-bar install. They've done both before.
