View Full Version : TCC Brake switch conversion??
I just installed a 94' LT1/4l60e with its original wiring harness and PCM in my 69' Firebird. Do I need to hook up the lt. blue/black wire(TCC switched power feed) from C230 in order for my Torque converter to know when to lockup..? And do I have to order one of these for it to work?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170231424151&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123

Yep, you need one of those switches to unlock the torque converter when you apply the brakes. It applies 12 volts to the TCC line when the brakes are not applied, opposite to what the brake light switch does.

So I only need the lt. blue/black "TCC switched power feed" wire to receive 12v when the brakes are not applied right? Is there any other wires that need to be spliced into the my wiring harness/PCM for it to work properly?

I'll take a picture of mine tomorrow and post it up for you. Basically the orange/white (factory) wires go on one side and the TCC wires go in the other.
Thanks 130fe. I am using the brake switch from my 94' Formula LT1 parts car. I already have it hooked up in my 69'. I have the orange & white wires hooked up like factory which allow my brake lights to work. There is one solid light blue wire that plugs in with the orange & white wires that is on the switch. I have the light blue/black stripe wire hooked to my TCC switched feed wire and the pink one I have on a switched 12V.
I basically was wondering what the light blue wire was for but didnt want to make this sound confusing.
