Hey Guys,
I just assembled by Heidts frame and it looks awsome. Has anyone used the frame and what size wheel and tire combo did you use. I will not have the frame installed on the car for several weeks and I want to order my whees now. I want the widest wheel that I can use and what backspacing?

When ordering custom wheels and tires for a custom chassis requiring custom offsets, do yourself a favor and mock it up first. We hear this sort of thing every day, with customers who get a little excited and jump the gun on wheels and tires only to find out they don't work. If that's the case, there isn't anything you can do but buy a second set of wheels, and there is little chance of selling your old ones.

This is a big investment. Do it right. It's easier if it's a stock track width, but even then you want to be absolutely sure the offset is correct when running wide wheels.

Be sure to post multiple threads about your car when it's done. The Pearl Cyclone is the most spectacular Pro-Touring car ever devised by man. It's important that the word gets out to as many people as possible.

I thought I saw your car get sold at the 07 Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale?

I have a picture of it somewhere and I know it sold. Did you buy it back?

I don't know the story behind this and tend to ignore all of the "named" car threads, but does the board seem particularly snarky the last week or so?

Between Ohio killing all pit bulls, Harley's with straight pipes and this comment (maybe meant only to be funny), we seem to have gone a little away from the friendly place where we can take shelter from foreclosures, plunging dollars, soaring gas prices and other world issues.

That said, it was a nice put down of a guy who seems obsessed solely with promoting his own car.

Oops, did I just say that?

the guy came on about 10 different times in different forums asking the same question. " hey everyone, have you seen my car in phr" and it led to the most infamous thread on pro touring
